2010 and Onwards

Happy New Year to everyone and we really hope that it’s a good one for you all.

We have had a good start with our first 6 months at Duffs and can only see the club going onwards and upwards for 2010. We have loads planned and will continue with our mission to make this the best club in the South and to provide all our members with what they want.

We have re-jigged our schedule for the start of this New Year and this has included shortening the re-buy period from 40 minutes to 30 minutes in our re-buys to ensure that games mid week finish that little earlier. We will also be starting all of our games on time now so please make sure that you arrive promptly. Please have a look at our newly updated website for all of our games and changes. We have also now scrapped the bad beat jackpot and started a hand of the month Jackpot which will start each month with at least £135 with the proceeds from the scrapped bad beat money.

Our brand new league which we believe is fairer and more open to all to pick up a nice share of prize money starts on 2nd January so make a good start and get down the club. There is so much going on it really is worth the time looking at our website and paying us a visit.

We are going to continue with our £2 a pint drink offers and will continue to provide not only good food but will add to our already comprehensive menu.

New Years Eve Party

 

We plan to see the New Year out with a bang and will be clearing the Poker room out and a top London DJ will be our host for the night and we promise it will be a party to remember.

 

Tickets are just £10 each and include a free buffet and of course the disco itself.

 

The drinks offers will be available as detailed below so what better place to see in the New Year.

Hi All,

Things are really getting busy here now at Duffs and we have just launched another game for your diary following on from the feedback we got from our last Bounty Hunter game.

The new game for your diary is on Saturday 12^th December at 2 0 Clock and is a £75 + £25 Bounty Hunter and is a 12,000 chip start with 30 minute blinds Freezeout. All details are now on the website and we will be running one satellite for it where you can qualify cheaply. On Sunday 6^th December our £10 rebuy game at 6 0 Clock will be a satellite into the Bounty Hunter. Every £100 collected will get a seat into the main event.

This Sunday at 2 O Clock we have our last Christmas Cracker Freeroll where you have a chance to win £3,000 for nothing. This is your absolute last chance so would suggest that if you want a nice little Xmas Bonus you turn up for this last chance to make the final 20.

This Saturday sees the final of our £5K league which we ran and the top 75 will come back and play in the £2,500 final free game. If you were in the top 75 you should have been contacted by now so we should see you on Saturday. If you have any queries regarding this then please let us know and we will get back to you right away. Saturday night is going to be very busy and manic and for any cash players out there can assure you that the trip to the club will be well worth the visit. We will also have the Amir Khan fight on at the club for all you boxing fans.

Hi all

 

This Saturday at Duffs Full House, as well as all our draught beer being just £2 per pint and all the main footie games being available to watch on our many flat screen TVs, we also have our monthly main Poker event. It is a £100 plus £25 bounty hunter tournament and this means that every player you knock out you will get £25. It is a 12,000 chip start and a 30 minute clock so will make for a great game of Poker. As well as this game we will have all of our normal schedule running and cash tables open all day and night so should be a great day for all. The game kicks off at 1 O Clock so please arrive at 12.30 for registration.

 

We are pleased to say that things are getting busier at the club all the time now and hence the prizepools are getting bigger so much more worth the while popping down for a visit. We have 100,000 leaflets now going out and another 5,000 drinks promotion leaflets along with various roadshows planned. There are numerous avenues of promotion going at the moment to ensure that we get busy and make it a lively thriving club for you.

Welcome to our latest newsletter on what’s going at Duffs and what we have planned. Please remember that this is your club and we are committed to providing you with the absolute best products and services that we can. Please take the time to read this as it contains vital information for you to be able to enjoy the club and some of the excellent deals that we have going.

 

There is no secret that a lively busy club offers a greater atmosphere and more enjoyment for our members and that is what we are trying to create.

 

The Bar

 

We are currently looking at revamping the bar area and also further improving our food menu so that not only just our Poker players enjoy the facilities but also the local community can come in for a nice drink and be able to relax with a nice meal and enjoy the facilities. To further promote the bar we are running a series of drinks promotions until the New Year and will look at further options after then. The bar prices will now be:

 

Every day from 12 – 8 all draught beer will be just £2 per pint

Student Nights every Wednesday where all the above offers apply from 6pm till midnight.

Poker

 

We are shortly going to partition the main Poker room off and create that bit more intimacy and privacy from the hustle and bustle of the main walkway area to the rear of the premises. This will make it a lot quieter from the main bar where sometimes it can be a little noisy.

 

We have numerous promotions going on and have an excellent league running where the top 50 will be invited back to play for a share in at least £2,000. It’s not difficult to get in the top 50 so come along a few times and make sure you qualify and pick up a nice Xmas bonus.

 

At the foot of this letter you will find all the main details of our current promotions and schedule. We made a promise that we won’t be changing our schedule for a while and hence are sticking to that for the rest of this year. If you have any suggestions though we are willing to listen so please feel free to mail in any ideas that you have. Christmas Raffle

 

We have been selling Xmas Raffle tickets for quite a while now and the more tickets we sell the more and the bigger the prizes will be. The draw will be on the 19^th December and this will be a great fun night so make sure you keep getting those tickets. Every penny sold in tickets will go to the prize fund.

We would like to offer our huge congratulations to Mark Temple who duly paid his pound to take part in our Royal Flush Jackpot and hit his Royal Flush and taking down the jackpot of £1,353 . We have kick-started the new jackpot with £100 and the bad beat still remains at well over £1,000 so make sure you don’t miss out on the next one and get down the club.

 

Sunday 22^nd November – The Big One

 

This Sunday sees the next round of THE Big One where someone will win one of the 10 coveted seats where you can play for a chance to win a seat to next years WSOP or take a cash alternative of £10,000. Saturday 28^th November – Bounty Hunter Main Event

 

On Saturday the 28^th November starting at 1pm we will be holding this month’s main event which is a deep stack freezeout tournament where you will get 12,000 starting chips. There will be 30 minute blinds and the cost will be £100 plus £25 bounty. This means that for every player you knock out you will win £25. If you require any more information on this then please let us know and we will get back you right away. It will help us a great deal if you could pre-register so hopefully we will hear from you regarding this. Don’t forget all main sporting events will be shown now in the Poker room so you don’t need to miss out on anything whilst you enjoy a game of cards.

 

Sunday 6^th December – Final Chance to win £3,000 in our Freeroll

 

Sunday 6^th December is your last chance to win a seat to have a chance of winning £3,000 for nothing. Fifteen players have already booked their seat to the final 20 and 5 places remain. Make sure you get down to this event where the top 5 win the last 5 places and then come back to battle it out for that £3k Xmas spending money.

As from Monday we will be launching a brand new league which will be fair and simple right across the board and will give some of our members that extra bit of Xmas spending money. NEW CHRISTMAS LEAGUE

 

Welcome to our new Duffs Christmas League, The league will run from Monday 26^th October and finish on Saturday 19^th December with the grand final free roll to be held on Sunday 20^th December @ 7.30 pm.

 

Points for this league are available from every tournament played Monday to Sunday each week excluding our Sunday live satellite night tournament, freerolls and main events.

 

Players will receive 1 point for every time they turn up for a game and the following points will be applied depending on where they finish.

 

1^st - 9 Points

2^nd - 8 Points

3^rd - 7 Points

4^th - 6 Points

5^th - 5 Points

6^th - 4 Points

7^th - 3 Points

8^th - 2 Points

9^th - 1 Point

 

There will also be a randomly drawn bounty player every night where if you knock this player out you will receive 2 points, if you are the bounty and win then you keep the points for yourself. If you make 3 top 5 finishes in a week you will also get a bonus of 3 points. These points will then be converted into chips where the top 50 will be invited back to play in a free game where there will be a guaranteed prize pool of £2,000.

 

There will be a small charge of 5% from each tournaments prize pool and this will be played for at our grand final free roll. Every penny of this 5% will go into the final freeroll where the top 9 will be paid out as per our usual payout schedule. If for some reason the sum collected was less than £2,000 Duffs Full House will make up the difference.

 

This will mean that the winner of the final free game will get at least £700 for his or hers efforts so a nice little Xmas Bonus.

Dear All,

 

Just a quick reminder that tonight is the last chance to get points for The Dublin League and then the final is next Tuesday. If you can’t make tonight you can qualify online for our Halloween £10,000 Guaranteed event instead which starts at 8 on Sunpoker. You will find the tournament under all scheduled tournaments.

 

Please don’t also forget that Sunday sees the third qualifier for The Big One and starts at 12.30 sharp.

 

We have also had a slight jig around with some of our schedule and have now made Monday nights a £5 rebuy madness night with a £500 guarantee and moved our Bounty Hunter tournament to Sunday night starting at 6. Wednesday nights will now become a £10 rebuy with a £1,000 guarantee. The rebuy satellite for The Halloween event will now start at 8 on the Sunday night. This means that if you bust out early in The Bounty Hunter you will still be able to enter the rebuy satellite on the Sunday.

Hope you are all well,

 

If you hadn’t noticed we have now launched our own forum and will soon be posting lots of useful information for you to help your game. In the meantime please feel free to log in and have a look around and start posting.

 

The main items we have going on this week are the launch of our online satellites with our online partner Sunpoker. The games are £10 rebuys and run every Monday and Thursday night at 8 O Clock and can be found in the scheduled tournaments in the Sunpoker lobby. The satelittes are into our main event on Halloween where we are guaranteeing a prize pool of £10,000. This will be our biggest game yet and are expecting a good turn out.

 

This week sees the end of our Dublin league so make sure you venture down tonight and Thursday and get those last points you will need in the finals. The Dublin event looks great so would recommend that you venture down for this one.

 

On Wednesday we have our £5 rebuy madness where we are guaranteeing a prizepool of £900 and this is proving very popular.

 

Continuing our theme of rebuy madness we have our usual Friday night rebuy madness game that starts at 7 and on Saturday one that starts at 6, these are in addition to our 2 usual freezeouts on Friday and Saturday night.

 

Finally on Sunday we have THE BIG ONE where for just £25 you can play for a seat into the final table where you can win the £10,000 WSOP main event seat.

We just wanted to keep you up to date with what’s going on at Duffs Full House. There have been an awful lot of changes and we wanted to make you fully aware of some of the great deals and promotions that we have in place. We are constantly striving to make this the best club in the South and we fully believe we are getting there.

 

Within this letter are details of how you can win £3,000 for nothing and huge guaranteed tournaments along with important changes so please could you take the time to look at some of the promotions below and if you are unsure of anything then please don’t hesitate to ask.

As you are aware our online partner is Sunpoker and if you play online at all then this really should be your home. Weekly Schedule

 

We have recently made changes to our weekly schedule which is proving popular with everyone and we will be implementing some even better ones when The Dublin League finishes next week so please watch this space on that one. Our current schedule though is listed at the foot of this letter.

All information is on our website and we are currently in the development stage of launching our own Forum where all aspects can be spoken about and this will be a great source of information from Poker to Club issues and just general chat.

Special Events

 

 

Halloween Special

 

On the 31^st October we will be hosting our biggest tournament yet with a £10,000 guarantee. We will be decorating the bar area and getting into the spirit of things so to speak and all alcoholic drinks will be just £2 before 10pm.

 

We expect a full house on this one so even if you don’t fancy the poker then feel free to pop down for a drink and bring along your partners and friends. The main game itself is a £250 buy in and we will be running £10 rebuy satellites into this event every Sunday Evening at 7pm with late registrations available for the first 80 mins.

 

You will get 15,000 chips to battle it out in the main event and early interest suggests that the prizepool will be more than £20,000. We will also be running an online satellite with Sunpoker to this and these dates are Monday 12th, Thursday 15^th, Monday 19^th, Thursday 22^nd Monday 26^th and Monday 29^th October.  All games are $10 rebuys and as a special one off every player who accumulates 7,500 Sunpoker points from now will be entered into a freeroll online where the winner will get a seat into the main event. The freeroll will be online with Sunpoker on 30^th October at 8 0’clock.

On Saturday 28^th November we will be guaranteeing a prize pool of £10,000 and the tournament is a 12,000 chips start bounty hunter. The entry fee is £200 plus £50 for the bounty. For every player you knock out you will receive their bounty of £50. We will be running live satellites every Sunday at the club for this one from Sunday 1^st November and will also be running online satellites where you can qualify online for as little as $10.

 

New Year

 

Yes I know this is a long way off but we like to plan ahead and we will be having the party of the year. The main Poker room will be converted into a dance floor and we will just be running cash tables all night in the rear room.
