There has been a fair amount of change going on here at Duffs Full House just lately with regards to Poker and the Bar. It’s Easter Sunday and our bunny girls will be pleased to give all the children a free Easter egg and they are free to use the Function room to play and take part in an Easter egg Hunt. We will of course be doing open the box where someone could win over £300 for a £1 ticket as well as all our usual Poker events.

As we continually state we are totally committed here at Duffs Full House to provide you with the best value club and the most social club in the south. We have a number of projects on the go now and would like to share them with you so you get the maximum value from the club.

POKER

Firstly with regards to the poker as you are hopefully aware we have a great value league running and a great weekly schedule for all our tournaments. On top of this we now have a very hectic schedule with a variety of tournaments to meet all your needs. Our main events remaining for the rest of this month are:

THE BIG ONE

This Saturday at 2PM sees the 7th game in the quest to win a mega £10,000 package to this year’s WSOP in Las Vegas. The entry fee is just £25 and the winner gets a seat to the final table of just 10 players for this huge package.

Bounty Hunter

This Sunday at 3PM we have a £75 + £25 Bounty Hunter Game which is a 12,000 chip start and on a 30 minute clock. This is sure to be a great game with lots of play and of course you will get £25 for every player you knock out.

£500 FREEROLL

Following the popularity of our last £500 freeroll we are doing it again. There is a £3 registration fee to allow us to provide you with all dealer dealt tables and we are paying £500 into the prizepool where the winner will get a cool £200 and the rest will be split between the top 7. This is a great chance to win something for nothing and numbers are limited and we obviously expect all places to be filled so rather than missing out would advise you to register as soon as possible. You can do this by phoning the club, mailing us or by filling the form in on the notice board at the club.

THE BAR

We have a number of changes going on with the bar all for your added enjoyment and as from this Sunday we will be having a meat raffle and doing open the box both drawn at 4PM. Open the box works as follows:

You buy a raffle ticket and this gets put into a draw. If we take say £150 from these tickets 50% is paid to the winning ticket holder and the rest is put into the box. The winning ticket holder then gets a chance to open the box with a choice of 13 keys. If that key fits he gets the remaining £75 if not then it rolls over to the following week where that key is removed and the next winner has a choice of 12 keys and so on. The jackpots can get quite high so well worth the visit.

Pool Competitions

Every Monday we will now be having a Pool competition which starts at 8.30 PM and has a £3 entry fee. 75% of the prize fund will go to the winner and 25% to the runner up and we will round the night off with fun games of killer pool and killer darts.

Quiz Nights

Every Thursday we will be holding Quiz nights where we promise the questions will be fun and everyone will have a good chance of winning cash and fun prizes. There will be a £2 entry fee for every player and maximum teams of 6 players. Make sure you get to the club for this great fun night.

Bar in General

We are shortly in the next week or so going to be improving our range of entertainment in the bar. We are going to be installing 2 computers for free use so you won’t have to go through to the back room to use them and our racing fans can instantly look up the latest odds online and be able to place their bets from the comfort of the bar.

We will also be getting a bar billiards table and a table football game for your added amusement.

There are lots more fun nights planned such as Race Nights, WII Challenge nights, Karaoke. Music etc

The Back Room

Work has started on the back room and will be finished by the end of the week. This room will now be totally separate and isolated allowing us to hire the room out if need be for private functions such as weddings, parties and the like. We will also be looking to use it for dance classes, aerobics etc. Most importantly for our members it will be a child friendly room and will be kitted out with beanbags, computers, DVD players, Giant Connect four, playstations so that you can come along for a drink with your children knowing they will have lots to keep them amused and they are fully covered by our top notch CCTV.

We have reduced the price of our drinks as well making a pint just £2.50 and also have a Loyalty Scheme running which in effect reduces the price down to £2.25 a pint.

Duffs Full House

This weekend at Duffs as you maybe aware is going to be a busy one especially for Poker players.

On Saturday we have our £500 freeroll which is almost full to capacity so if you haven’t already registered then strongly suggest that you do so very quickly. It will be a great day of Poker where the winner will walk away with £200 for nothing and we will be running cash tables all day and at 6 o clock we have our £5 rebuy madness where we are going to guarantee £500. For those that have either busted out of the freeroll or from the rebuy or simply want to play a bigger game we have our £25 entry, 7,500 chip start Freezeout which starts at 8.30. Cash tables will then run till the wee hours of the morning.

The Saturday events are also your last chance to earn points for the Monthly league where the £1,000 Freeroll takes place on the Sunday for our top 75 players. If you aren’t in the top 75 there is still time to qualify. If you were to win one of the remaining games then you would get 15 points which would get you 7,500 chips to take to the freeroll. The final of the monthly league starts at 2 pm and we would ask that all the top 75 confirm whether they can make the day in order to help out our planning. The current league table for this is printed below. Our usual Bounty Hunter game will take place on the Sunday Evening.

The £10 rebuy on Sunday Evening which starts at 8.30 is now going to be a satellite for next weekends £100 shootout tournament ( http://duffscardroom.co.uk/event-information/100-shootout/ ) . For every £100 in the prizepool we will give a seat into the shootout competition where the winner will get £2,000.

Happy New Year to everyone and we really hope that it’s a good one for you all.

We have had a good start with our first 6 months at Duffs and can only see the club going onwards and upwards for 2010. We have loads planned and will continue with our mission to make this the best club in the South and to provide all our members with what they want.

We have re-jigged our schedule for the start of this New Year and this has included shortening the re-buy period from 40 minutes to 30 minutes in our re-buys to ensure that games mid week finish that little earlier. We will also be starting all of our games on time now so please make sure that you arrive promptly. Please have a look at our newly updated website for all of our games and changes. We have also now scrapped the bad beat jackpot and started a hand of the month Jackpot which will start each month with at least £135 with the proceeds from the scrapped bad beat money.

Our brand new league which we believe is fairer and more open to all to pick up a nice share of prize money starts on 2nd January so make a good start and get down the club. There is so much going on it really is worth the time looking at our website and paying us a visit.
